Booking a music venue has never been this simple
Whether you're an artist looking for your next stage or a venue owner ready to fill your calendar, GigNVenue connects you in a few straightforward steps.
Find and book your next gig venue
From intimate jazz clubs to festival-ready amphitheaters — browse, connect, and confirm your date without the back-and-forth or gatekeeping.
Search venues
Browse live music venues by city, capacity, and price range. Filter by amenities — stage, backline, recording, green room, and more.
Message or request
Send the venue a message before committing, or go straight to a booking request with your event details, expected attendance, and any special requirements.
Get approved
The venue host reviews your request and responds — often within 1–2 business days. You'll be notified the moment there's news on your booking.
Pay and confirm
Once approved, you have 48 hours to complete your deposit and booking fee payment to lock in your date. Your deposit is held securely and released to the venue within 24 hours of the venue confirming the show played off. If an approved booking no longer works for you, you can formally decline it with a reason — no penalty. Letting the window expire without action affects your reliability score.
Turn your empty dates into booked shows
List once. For free. Reach thousands of artists actively looking for a space exactly like yours.
List your venue
Create your venue profile with photos, capacity, amenities, and pricing. It takes about 10 minutes and your listing goes live immediately.
Receive requests
Artists browse your listing and send booking requests with their event details and expected audience size. You're in full control of who you approve.
Review and respond
Read through each request, check your calendar, and confirm or decline. You can also message artists directly before making a decision.
Host the show
Once the artist's deposit and booking fee are collected, the date is locked. The deposit is held securely and released to you within 24 hours of you confirming the show played off. The day after the show, a single green confirm button appears in your Overview, your Bookings tab, your calendar, and your Earnings section — tap it once from wherever you are. No chasing payments, no awkward conversations.
Built for music, not just any event
Generic event platforms weren't designed with live music in mind. GigNVenue is.
Music-specific filters
Venue hosts detail their stage, backline, PA specs, green room, and recording capability — so artists can search and find exactly what their show needs.
Secure deposit system
Deposits are collected and held by GigNVenue, then released to the venue within 24 hours of the venue confirming the show played off — protecting both sides of every booking.
Built-in messaging
All artist-venue communication happens in one place — no lost emails, no phone tag. Your booking history and messages stay organized automatically.
Live availability calendar
Venue calendars update in real time. Artists see exactly which dates are available before they request — no requests into the void.
Smart request management
When multiple artists request the same date, venues have the tools to review and manage those requests — keeping their calendar organized without the chaos of manual juggling.
Interactive map search
Browse venues visually on a real-time map. See what's available in any city, zoom to a neighborhood, or search a specific area.
Artist reliability scores
Every artist builds a reliability score based on their booking follow-through. Venue hosts can see it before approving — rewarding artists who show up and giving serious bookers a meaningful edge.
Featured Nights
Venue hosts can promote open dates directly to artists who've already saved their venue — a targeted channel to fill nights fast, without broadcasting to everyone.
Things people ask before their first booking
For artists: FREE. For venues: FREE.
Browsing, searching, and submitting booking requests costs nothing. Listing a venue costs nothing. There are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, and no hidden charges on either side.
When a venue approves your request, you'll complete a 20% deposit and a 5% booking fee to secure the date — but these aren't charges unique to GigNVenue. A deposit and an initial processing fee are the standard next step in securing a venue date across the industry. GigNVenue simply handles it transparently, in one place, so neither side has to chase the other. Our role is simple — connecting artists with the right stages and helping venues fill their nights.
Most venue hosts respond within 1–2 business days. You'll receive a notification the moment your request status changes. You're always free to request multiple venues simultaneously — if a venue hasn't responded within 5 days, the request automatically expires.
No payment is taken if your request is declined. You're completely free to browse other venues and submit new requests. A declined request has no effect on your account — and it's no reflection on your talent. Venues decline requests for many reasons, most of which have nothing to do with the artist.
When a venue approves your request, you'll receive a notification and a 48-hour window to complete payment. Payment consists of a 20% deposit — collected and held securely by GigNVenue until after your event — plus a 5% booking fee. Once payment is complete, the date is locked on the venue's calendar and your booking is confirmed. From there, the venue takes over with their standard professional process to get you ready for the night.
Absolutely. Every venue profile has a "Message venue" button that connects you directly with the host before any formal request. It's a great way to ask about specific requirements, tech riders, load-in logistics, or just get a feel for whether the venue is the right fit. You'll need a free GigNVenue account and to be logged in to send messages.
If your 48-hour payment window expires without action, the booking is cancelled and the date is released back to the venue. This counts as a missed commitment and affects your artist reliability score — a metric that venue hosts can see when reviewing requests.
If an approved booking genuinely no longer works for you, the right move is to formally decline it through your dashboard with a reason. A voluntary decline carries no penalty and notifies the host right away, giving them time to work with another artist. Letting it silently expire is what triggers the strike.
Featured Nights are date-specific promotions that venue hosts can post to highlight an open night they're actively looking to fill. They're only sent to artists who have already saved that venue — so if you've bookmarked a space you love, you'll be first to know when a great date opens up.
For hosts, it's a targeted way to reach artists who are already interested in their stage — without sending a blast to the entire platform. Featured Night notifications appear directly in an artist's dashboard.
When your booking is approved, you'll receive a payment prompt in your dashboard to complete your deposit within 48 hours. The deposit is 20% of the venue's nightly rate, held securely by GigNVenue — not by the venue — and released to them within 24 hours of the venue confirming the show played off. It protects both the artist and the venue, ensuring everyone holds up their end of the agreement. Refundability of the deposit is subject to the terms set forth in the venue's own booking agreement, which is part of their professional onboarding process with the artist.
